Carpet Moth Treatment Prices - £180 First Room and £60 Additional Rooms
£180 for the first room, £60 for each one after. What the treatment reaches, and the three things it explicitly does not do.
Where the Treatment Actually Goes
Not into the middle of the floor. Carpet moth larvae feed where nothing disturbs them, so the treatment goes to the perimeter and the gripper rod, under and behind furniture, into wardrobe floors, around the holes where radiator pipes come through, and under rugs that sit on top of a carpet.
Which is why clearing the room matters so much. A room treated with the sofa left in place is a room where the worst square metre was never reached, and you paid the same for it.
The Three Things It Does Not Do
It does not repair the carpet. Fibre that has already been eaten stays eaten, and no treatment anywhere puts it back.
It does not clean. And it does not treat valuable rugs — we will not spray an antique or hand-knotted rug, including not testing an inconspicuous corner. That is a specialist rug cleaner and it is genuinely a different trade.

Why the Adjoining Room Is Usually Worth £60
Larvae travel along the quiet edges, under doors and into the hall. By the time damage shows in one room, the next room has very often had activity in its perimeter for a while with nothing visible.
Sixty pounds while we are already at the property is considerably cheaper than a second visit in three months, which starts at £180 again.
If You Are Replacing the Carpet Anyway
Treat before the new one goes down, not after. Larvae in the old underlay and along the perimeter will start on a new carpet perfectly happily, and treating a bare floor is easier and more thorough than treating a fitted one.
Frequently Asked Questions
Will the bald patches grow back?
No. Treatment stops further damage; it does not restore fibre.
Can you treat my Persian rug?
No. Valuable and hand-knotted rugs go to a specialist rug cleaner, not to us.
Should I treat before or after new carpet?
Before. Larvae in the underlay and perimeter will happily start on a new carpet.
