How Much Does Flea Treatment Cost in Bexley?
Flea treatment is £180 for the first room and £60 for each additional room. An empty property costs the same as an occupied one, and it is often the harder job.
The Published Price
First room £180, each additional room £60. A ground floor of three rooms is £300. Count the rooms with carpet, rugs or soft flooring that the animal had access to - that is normally the answer.
Why £60 Rather Than Another £180
The survey, the travelling and the preparation advice happen once. What repeats for each extra room is the treatment itself, and that is what the £60 is. It is why treating the whole ground floor at once is usually better value than doing the lounge, watching fleas appear in the hall a fortnight later, and paying for a second visit.

The Empty Property Problem
The classic Bexley call is a house that has stood empty for a couple of weeks - a let between tenants, or a family back from holiday - where somebody is bitten within an hour of walking in.
That is not bad luck. Flea pupae sit dormant and are triggered to hatch by warmth, carbon dioxide and vibration, so an empty property banks up a population that all emerges at once when someone walks across the floor. The price is the same, but tell us the property has been empty, because it changes what to expect in the first fortnight afterwards.
What the Price Does Not Include
The animal. Only a small fraction of a flea population is on the pet at any moment - the rest is eggs, larvae and pupae in the carpet, the pet bed and the furniture. Both have to be dealt with, and the animal side is your vet.
A treated house with an untreated pet in it reinfests, and a treated pet in an untreated house keeps getting bitten. Get a current veterinary product on the animal around the same time as the property treatment and you have done the whole job. Do one and not the other and you have spent the money for half a result.
Landlords Between Tenancies
Empty properties are the easiest ones to treat properly, because the floors are already clear and nothing has to be worked around. Same price. If a tenancy has ended and the last occupant had a dog or a cat, doing it before the next tenant moves in is considerably cheaper than doing it after they complain.
Frequently Asked Questions
There is no pet here - can it still be fleas?
Very commonly, yes. A previous occupant had one and the pupae simply waited.
Do I need to treat every room?
Treat the rooms the animal had access to. Fleas do not spread far from where the host rested.
Will I see fleas after the treatment?
For a week or two, yes, as pupae hatch into the treated surface. Keep vacuuming - that is what finishes them.
