The Outside Is Part of the Job

This is the main thing people do not expect. The colony is usually outdoors — under a patio, along a path, against a warm foundation — and the ants indoors are commuting.

So where the nest is accessible outside, treating it is part of the price and not an extra. A treatment that only touches the kitchen is half a treatment, and the ants would be back within the fortnight.

What Is Included

Following the trail back to the entry point and, where we can find it, to the nest. Gel bait on the runs and at the entry. A residual outside where the nest is reachable. Advice on which gap to close so the same route is not available next year.

What Is Not Included

Lifting paving or decking to reach a nest under it. Sealing gaps as a proofing job. Anything structural.

Where a nest is genuinely under a slab and cannot be reached, we will tell you what that means rather than pretending a surface treatment has dealt with it.

Tell Us If You Have Already Sprayed

It changes the treatment. A household spray breaks the scent trail, and gel bait needs that trail intact so the workers carry it home. If you have been spraying weekly since May, say so — it affects how we treat and how long it takes to show.

When You Do Not Need Us

Flying ants for a few days in high summer. That is the colony sending out new queens, it is a weather-driven event, and it stops on its own within about a week. Nothing we could do would shorten it much, and we would rather say that than take £190 for it.
